For generations, Niagara’s resources have been stolen from us. The State took over the Niagara Falls Park, our bridge crossings, and our waterfront property. Then the State stole our ability to generate low cost power and gave that right to an unmonitored State Authority. The State even stole the proceeds from the Love Canal settlement and 75% of our casino money.
Enough is enough!
The decisions that the State has made, to steal and pilfer our valuable resources, came well before our lifetimes. These decisions were made generations ago with no thought about the legacy that it would create for our community today! Unfortunately, the pilfering of our resources has become institutionalized. We have learned to accept the scarce and insufficient resources left to us by the State.
We are no longer satisfied with the status quo.
Our city’s plight is not one that can be blamed on individual politicians or political parties. This injustice was a culture created over decades that continues today. But we will not accept that these truths are self-evident. We will continue to ask questions until we are satisfied with the answers why our State is entitled to our resources while we are told to be satisfied with the crumbs that they allow us.
Join us as we ask questions that have not been asked in generations. Stand with us to demand the answers that we deserve. Fight along side us to correct the injustices that we suffer.
We will no longer accept the injustices that were first bestowed upon our great grandparents.

Reclaim Niagara is a Not-for-Profit corporation organized under the Laws of the State of New York. It was founded by local civic minded people with the purpose to raise questions to the State and Public regarding the State’s rich history of stealing our community’s resources. Upset with the continuous structural budget difficulties and no real relief, our group began to look at other opportunities, outside of government, to make Niagara Falls more prosperous and financially stable. After many meetings, it became obvious that our City will never be prosperous and financially stable until the State’s tourniquet around our resources is lifted. We simply cannot improve our City, with the earnestness that New York City, Albany and Buffalo have been improved, without having our resources back. Plainly put, the State has seized the best things we have and left us with nothing.
We are asking for your help.
Join us as we ask questions that have not been asked in generations. Stand with us to demand the answers that we deserve. Fight along side us to correct the injustices that we suffer.
